Business Licences

Shops & Establishments Act

The Shops and Establishments Act is in effect a labor license adopted by governments that controls working conditions and outlines rights of employees in the unorganized sector by establishing a set of requirements for every business.

Trade License

It is a permit given by the local authority to the trader to operate the listed business within the boundaries of the local body (GHMC).

MSME Registration

Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSME) refer to all businesses that fit into one of these three categories. Even though it is not required by law, the MSME licence is one of the simpler government registrations to obtain.

FSSAI

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is referred to as FSSAI. The food business has undergone significant transformation as a result of the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006, which was established to increase food cleanliness and quality.

Import Export Code

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, is responsible for issuing the IE Code. It is a special 10-digit code given to Indian companies by the DGFT (Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce).

Digital Signature Certificates

A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is a cryptographically secure key issued by certifying authority (CAs) to confirm and verify the identity of the person who owns this certificate. When businesses need to digitally sign documents online, securely authenticate the Signature, and validate the signed copy, DSCs are typically issued and used.

Legal Entity Identifier

For transactions in the interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit derivative markets, a legal entity identification (LEI) is required. Moreover, LEI is now required for businesses and organisations with a combined fund-based and non-fund exposure of more than RS 50 crore, according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
